Mitzy ("we," "us," or "our") is a household management app that helps you stay on top of recurring tasks — from HVAC filters to pet vaccines. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have.
Account information. When you sign in with Google or a magic link, we receive your email address and basic profile information (name, profile photo) from your identity provider.
Profile information you provide. During onboarding and in your profile, you may share details such as your name, birth year, gender, zip code, home type, vehicles, children, and pets. You choose what to share — these fields help Mitzy personalize which tasks are relevant to you.
Task data. We store your task records, completion dates, snooze dates, scheduled dates, custom tasks, weekly plans, and life-event data so Mitzy can track what's due and what's done.
Google Calendar data. If you grant calendar access, we read your upcoming calendar events (title, date/time, and description) to match them against your tasks (e.g., finding a vet appointment on your calendar). Event details are sent to Anthropic's Claude API for matching only and are not stored on our servers — we only save the confirmed date once you approve a match. If you choose to schedule a task, Mitzy creates a new calendar event on your behalf (e.g., adding "Oil change" to your calendar with a reminder); we never edit or delete events we didn't create, and we never touch events unrelated to a task you scheduled.
Location (zip code only). Your zip code is sent to FEMA's National Risk Index API to identify local natural hazards and suggest relevant preparation tasks. We do not collect precise geolocation.
Usage data. We collect standard analytics such as pages visited, features used, and session duration to improve the app.
Mitzy uses Anthropic's Claude AI to help generate custom tasks, provide guidance, and suggest local service providers. When you use these features, relevant context (such as your task details or a description you type) is sent to Anthropic's API for processing. Anthropic does not use your data to train its models. Your data is stored in Supabase (hosted on AWS) and served through Vercel. We use industry-standard security measures including encryption in transit (TLS) and authentication via Supabase Auth. Your data is also cached locally on your device for offline access.

We do not sell your personal information. We share data only with the third-party services listed above, solely to operate the app. We may disclose information if required by law.
Mitzy is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us so we can delete it.
We may update this policy from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by posting the updated policy with a new effective date.
